No intention of making your head spin or spark feelings of inadequacy. Quite the contrary: it’s not a matter of “writing better”; it’s a matter of making yourself better understood. If you shift from self-blame to helping your reader, you’ll probably feel better and write better, too.
Additionally, this post isn’t really about grammar; it’s about rhetorical strategy: how to make the language consonant with the message. Besides, there are no tests, no “right” and “wrong” ways – just different techniques to achieve different outcomes. No different from whipping, stirring, or folding whipped cream in a recipe.
