Happy New Year to Me!

Since I wanted to share my good news with everyone at the same time, I am doing my first cross post on my two blogs, Wicked Cozy Authors and Live to Write/Write to Live. Here it goes:

I will be writing The Clock Shop Mystery Series for Berkley Prime Crime under the pseudonym Julianne Holmes. I am under contract for three books. The first one will be released in 2015, and is due this September.

To say that this is a dream come true is an understatement. And even though the release date is a long way away, I wanted to share this with all of you. On Live to Write/Write to Live, we all talk about our writing journeys, and this is an important part of the conversation. On Wicked Cozy Authors, my other five collaborators are all in different stages of their series being written, submitted, edited, released. I want to let everyone know I am on the same path, and so blessed to have these amazing women (and others) teach me as they learn.

So, day to day, how does this change my life? Right now, not a lot. I have a project with a deadline, which is new. But writing is part of my life, and I am thrilled at the opportunity of writing this cozy series. THRILLED. I will still have all the other parts of my life in full gear, so balance will be interesting. But then again, as writers, isn’t balance always interesting?

I am really looking forward to celebrating the release of the first book in 2015 with all of you. Until then, Julianne Holmes and I will be blogging, sharing, and enjoying the journey.

J.A.Hennrikus/Julianne Holmes is a writer.

  1. Bravo! Sounds like you’re right where you want to be, on top of your career with days and months and years of personal satisfaction and creativity ahead of you. We’ll be waiting for the Clock Shop Mystery Series with baited breath.
I would appreciate knowing why you’ve chosen to write under a pseudonym?
Thank you and best of luck.

  2. Congrats! I just love to hear about writing dreams coming true. It makes all those hours of pointing in a certain direction and doing the work (even fun work) to get there just so satisfying! I look forward to hearing of it’s release!
